Five Tips for Baby Shark
Baby Shark, Pinkfong and friends in Waikīkī.
This weekend, thousands will flood into the Blaisdell Concert Hall for the big to doo doo doo doo doo doo. (We've been enjoying our puns in the HONOLULU Family office.)
Baby Shark and Pinkfong, along with Max and Ruby, will get kids singing and dancing Saturday and Sunday. Almost all are shows sold-out, but there are seats—and, more importantly, meet-and-greet sessions—left in one more performance.
We've been receiving some questions from our readers. So here are our five tips for Baby Shark fans this weekend.
1. Bring snacks. Yes, you can bring food into the theater for this keiki-friendly performance. The show itself will run about an hour and 15 minutes. So, if you are attending the early or late shows, which are around lunch and dinner time, you may need a little fuel for your little ones. Just avoid snacks with too much packaging if you don't want to have to wrestle with it in the dark.
2. Remember, there is an opening act. Baby Shark and Pinkfong brought a few friends along. Max & Ruby will entertain the kids for half an hour. Then after an intermission, Baby Shark and Pinkfong, with their friend Duchess, will take the audience on a 30-minute trip around the world.
3. Want to meet the characters? The meet-and-greet sessions sold out in minutes. And most of the shows only have single seats left. But, there are still tickets left for the Sunday, Nov. 24 5 p.m. show and there are a few spaces left in the meet-and-greet to follow. Get them before they're gone!
4. Bring your credit card. Baby Shark and Pinkfong merchandise will be available at the Blaisdell Concert Hall and, we're guessing, if your kids see it, they will want it. We've been told there will be Baby Shark, Mommy Shark and Daddy Shark sound puppets, soft cubes, shirts, and, of course, light up toys on sale from the moment the doors to the hall open about 30 to 45 minutes before curtain time.
5. Remember parking fees. Right now, it is $8 to park at the Blaisdell Center.
Tickets are $15 to $25. Baby Shark and Max & Ruby mini show is Saturday, Nov. 23 and Sunday, Nov. 24 at 10:30 a.m., 2 and 5 p.m. Blaisdell Concert Hall, 777 Ward Ave. ticketmaster.com
