20th Annual Deaf Santa Celebration
to
For 20 straight years, the islands' only deaf and signing Santa has been a special guest at the State's signature holiday celebration for the Deaf community. When 150 keiki from throughout Oahu and the Neighbor Island share their wish lists in American Sign Language with Deaf Santa and his Interpreting Elves, the whole Deaf community rejoices that these special tykes get to experience something the rest of us take for granted. Please join us for one of our favorite events and some unique entertainment, including Hawaii's most prominent deaf and hard-of-hearing performers. "Yes, Virginia, there is a Deaf Santa Claus!" Thursday, Dec. 8 from 9 a.m. to noon. Uptown, second level.
