Join festivities at Honolulu City Lights on Saturday, Dec. 7, 2019. The opening night festivities kick off a monthlong celebration of free family-friendly attractions and merry fun
- 4 p.m. - Keiki rides and souvenir booths open. Returning to opening night is the Honolulu City Lights Block Party, featuring food trucks located along Punchbowl Street.
- 6 p.m. - The Mayor’s Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony begins at Honolulu Hale, just as the Public Workers’ Electric Light Parade steps off from River Street, running down King Street.
- 6:30 p.m. - Mayor Kirk Caldwell will illuminate the city’s 50-foot holiday tree on the front lawn, and unveil the employee Christmas tree display and public wreath exhibit in the Honolulu Hale Courtyard.
- 7:30 p.m. - The evening is highlighted with a star-studded holiday concert near the Sky Gate, featuring multiple Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award winners Hōkū Zuttermeister and Sean Na‘auao, singer-songwriter Izik, and Keolalaulani Hālau ‘Ōlapa O Laka under the direction of Kumu Hula Keola Dalire.

Honolulu City Lights will be open daily from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. on the Frank F. Fasi Civic Center Grounds, and will run through Dec. 29, 2019, including Christmas.
