Grand Entry honoring Eagle Staff
On Oct. 5 and Oct. 6, join a free, family friendly, non-competitive powwow to celebrate the cultures of Native American Indian and Alaska Natives. There will be drumming, singing and dancing in beautiful handmade regalia. Enjoy freshly made Frybread and Indian Tacos. Volunteers will staff education booths to answer questions and provide information about native cultures.
Children are invited to create and take home craft items with a native theme. Native American Indian and Alaska Native artisans will be on-hand with displays of handmade jewelry, beaded items, baskets and assortment of craft items to purchase. Bring chairs and blankets for your comfort. This is a non-smoking, alcohol- and drug-free powwow.
Hours: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Oct. 5 and Oct. 6 at Magic Island.
