50th State Fair

The rides, shows and festival food are back at Aloha Stadium. The 50th State Fair runs through the end of June in 2016. This year, you can see the Anastasi Circus for free, ride the 50-foot-tall Equinox, visit the petting zoo and take a turn on everything from the Century Wheel to kiddie-friendly roller coasters. For the first time, fairgoers will need to buy a Fun Pass, a rechargeable card they'll use to pay for rides, food and some games. Here are the hours for 2016:

May 27-30, June 3-5, Jne 9-12, June 17-19, June 24-26.

Fridays: 6 p.m.-midnight

Saturdays: 4 p.m.-midnight

Sundays: noon-midnight

Monday, May 30 (Memorial Day): noon-midnight

Thursday, June 9, 6 p.m.-midnight

Event cost details: $5 (or 50 credits on the Fun Pass) general admission, kids under 40 inches are free
