The booksale helps support the Friends of the Library of Hawai‘i which provides funding forHawai‘i's 50 public libraries with special programs, such as the Summer Reading Program, FallReading Program, National Library Week programs, technology upgrades, and continuingeducation for library staff. As Susan Nakata, head of Library Development Services of the Hawai‘iState Public Library says, "Funding from the Friends of the Library of Hawai‘i allows Hawai‘i'spublic libraries to carry out their mission of providing informational, enriching, and entertainingprograms for patrons at every stage of their lives.†Hours of the sale: Saturday, June 23 9 a.m.-9 p.m.; Sunday, June 24 9 a.m.-6 p.m.; Monday, June 25 11 a.m.-7 p.m.; Tuesday, June 26 11 a.m.-7 p.m.; Wednesday, June 27 11 a.m.-7 p.m.; Thursday, June 28 11 a.m.-7 p.m.; Friday, June 29 11 a.m.-7 p.m. (Lanai Sale); Saturday, June 30 9 a.m.-8 p.m. (All Books 50% off); Sunday, July 1 9 a.m.-2 p.m. (All Books 50 cents)
