Join the Art Explorium for some good clean fun. Similar to the way a wool sweater shrinks in hot water, kids will gently rub wool fiber with warm water until it knits together and shrink-wraps around a bar of soap, forming a woolly washcloth. The “soap sweater” will help soap last longer, and using bar soap instead of liquid soap reduces the use of plastic containers. Once you use the last of your soap, you can even reuse your wool pad as a cloth or sponge. Instructor Wendy Ikeda is an Art Explorium staff member and local fiber artist.
$20 per child. For kids 5 years and older. Keiki 5 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
