Heʻeia State Park 46-465 Kamehameha Highway, Kaneohe, Hawaii
Join other volunteers at Heʻeia State Park to remove invasive species and replace them with native Hawaiian plants. This will help erosion control and provide habitats for other species. Afterward, take a short walk to the private Heʻeia Fish Pond to hear about its history and efforts to restore the area.
All keiki must be accompanied by their grownups. Call to RSVP and receive directions to the meeting site.
This service project is organized by nonprofit group Hui o Koʻolaupoko to preserve Hawaiʻi’s ecosystems.
