Ayesha and Dean Sherzai, physicians who are visiting from Loma Linda University, will discuss the risks of developing Alzheimer's disease through lifestyle. In their research at Loma Linda Calif., one of the healthiest places in the world, they were able to demonstrate the remarkable influence of lifestyle on cognitive health. They found that a whole food, plant-based diet protected against brain diseases, such as stroke and Alzheimer's, despite genetic risk.
Dean is co-director of the Alzheimer’s Prevention Program at Loma Linda University. Ayesha is a neurologist and co-director of the Alzheimer’s Prevention Program at Loma Linda University, where she leads the Lifestyle Program for the Prevention of Neurological Diseases.
