More than 2,000 luminaries will light up Foster Botanical Garden for Midsummer Night’s Gleam, an annual program featuring live entertainment, botanical painting, children’s crafts, games, storytelling and a demonstration of Mongolian martial arts.
The garden will open from 9 a.m. to noon, close from noon to 4 p.m. and re-open at 4 p.m.
Children’s activities are scheduled from 4 to 6:30 p.m.
The entertainment begins at 4 p.m.
In the Gazebo:
- 4:30-5:30 p.m. Skylark Recorder Ensemble
- 7-9 p.m. Storytelling with Jeff Gere
On the Main Stage:
- 4-5 p.m. SEWA FARE drums and dancers
- 5-6:30 p.m. MEDAH (Middle Eastern Dance Artists of Hawai‘i)
- 6:30-9 p.m. Air Force Hana Hou Band
Bring bug repellant, a picnic dinner and blanket for the grass. Food and drinks will be available for purchase.
