Aquaponics is a sustainable way to grow fish and plants in the same system. The fish provide waste as plant fertilizer, and the plants clean the water.
Keiki will make their own mini aquaponics system with plants to grow and actual fish.
Kama'aina and military: $25 per aquaponics kit made; General admission: $45 per aquaponics kit made.
Recommended ages: all ages welcome. Admission fees apply per aquarium made. Reservations: required. Children under 18 are required to be supervised by their parent or caretaker. This program is best enjoyed by families with kids ages 6 and up.
