The library will celebrate Banned Books Week with free screenings of movies based on banned or challenged books. Based on Madeleine L'Engle's classic children's novel, A Wrinkle in Time follows Meg and Charles Wallace, a pair of misfit siblings who travel across time and space to save their father from enslavement. Together with their friends Calvin O'Keefe. Mrs. Who, Mrs. Whatsit, and Mrs. Which, they travel to the sinister planet Camazotz, where their father Dr. Murry has been captured by the coercive power known as IT. This film is rated TV-PG (suitable for ages 5 and older). Young children must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver.
