Bernice Pauahi Bishop Museum 1525 Bernice St., Honolulu, Hawaii 96817
Explore the wonders of the Hawaiian night sky while listening to live music by members of the ‘Ukulele Guild of Hawai’i. Enjoy the soothing sounds of the ‘ukulele and observe the current happenings in the sky above. You’ll receive a star map for Hawaii’s latitude and learn about upcoming astronomical events for the month. After the program, if the skies are clear, visit the viewing deck above the planetarium to find constellations and planets in the actual sky. Also, weather permitting, we will go to the Bishop Museum observatory and get a closer look at objects in the night sky with our telescope. There is no late seating; please arrive by 7:45 p.m. The planetarium is fairly cool, so you may want to bring a light sweater. Evening parking is $3. Please be sure to pay at the parking kiosk or have your member parking sticker on your dash.
