Hawai‘i’s largest STEM event is free, open to the public and includes more than 100 activities and 44 hands-on workshops for the entire family. Kids will be able to create catapults, slime, drive a robot, make a balloon hovercraft, climb a wall, play with augmented reality and more.
Most of the activities will be ongoing, but three special presentations will happen in the Pīkake Room.
- 9:30 a.m.-Nainoa Thompson, of the Polynesian Voyaging Society and Hōkule‘a navigator, will speak.
- 10:45 a.m.-Art Kimura of NASAʻs Space Grant Consortium will show families how astronauts live in space.
- 12:30 p.m.-Kids can borrow a robe and light saber and take on Kylo Ren. These workshops will continue until the end of the event at 3 p.m.
