Join other families in this free day of fun activities at Hawaiian Mission Houses. Tour the historic homes, do hands-on activities to learn about life in the past, and enjoy live entertainment on the lawns.
Tours of the historic houses will be offered every half hour beginning at 10:30 a.m. with the last tour starting at 3 p.m. Activities and crafts during the day will include lauhala weaving with Ulana Me Ka Lokomaikaʻi guild with demonstrations. Visitors will be able to make a project to take home. Other activities will include 19th century games and candle-making.
There will also be a pop-up market featuring local crafters/companies Na Maka Kahiko and Island Kiwi Hamada Financial Group will be operating a booth to give out free Keiki ID to families. They are a sponsor of the Honolulu Police Department Keiki ID Program. They will be on our grounds from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Uncle Wayne and the Howling Dog Band will be on our Kahua Hoʻokipa Stage from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Our September Open House is one of only two days a year that Hawaiian Mission Houses offers free admission for tours.
