The Sun, The Wind, and You Workshop

Bring your environment to the next level with a cool wind chime and colorful sun catcher. Young artists will start by creating and designing their own found-object wind chimes. Students will splatter and sponge paint their wind chime before adding colored beads and buttons to create a wonderful sound. Then make a sun catcher that will brighten up any area in your home. Students will be designing their sun catchers in the style of stained glass windows in order to learn about color mixing and design. Guest artist Stephanie Yanik is an elementary school art educator with the Department of Education.
