The annual free festival at Windward Community College offers hands-on activities, food and craft booths, live entertainment and a discounted show on the Imaginarium's 360-degree screen. Xtreme Fun Rides will be on site, with unlimited-ride wristbands available for $20. The movie Stars will show at the Imaginarium at 11 a.m. for $5, first come, first served. Here is the list of demonstrations and activities hosted by WCC departments.
- Chemistry Club will have fun with chemistry and making ice cream.
- Agripharmatech will take people on tours of the medicinal garden at 10 and 11 am. and 12:30 p.m.
- Career and Community Education will have keiki activities.
- Marine Option Program and PaCES will have Gyotaku fish printing.
- Facepainting by Phi Theta Kappa.
- Origami with the Math & Business departments.
- Air rockets with Aerospace Education.
- First aid and blood pressure readings by Nursing Pathway.
- Keiki carving and wood carving demonstrations with Hawaiian Woodcarving.
The entertainment schedule is:
- 10 a.m.-Opening by WCC Hawaiian Studies students
- 10:15 a.m.-Kahalu‘u ‘Ukulele Band (up & coming ‘uke youngsters)
- 11:15 a.m.-Puohala Elementary and King Intermediate school talent
- 12:15 p.m.-TBD special guest
- 1:15 p.m.-Pila Nahenahe / Hawaii Loa
- 2:15 p.m.-Pomaika'i Keawe and 'Ohana (Hawaiian falsetto, traditional Hawaiian style)
- 3:15 p.m.-Hi'ikua (contemporary Hawaiian music)
- 4:15 p.m.-Maunalua (Nā Hōkū Hanohano award winners)
- 5:15 p.m.-Chinky Mahoe’s Hālau Hula o Kawaili‘ulā (Merrie Monarch award-winners!)
- 6:15 p.m.-Beat-LeLe ('ukulele tribute to the Beatles)
- 7:15 p.m.-Keauhou (Nā Hōkū Hanohano award winners)
