Sea Life Park announced it will close from March 17 until further notice.

The Hawaiʻi State Department of Education has extended spring break through April 30. The extension allows school leaders to implement social distancing measures, disinfect high-touch areas of their campuses and reevaluate their lesson plans.
Public school students can pick up grab-and-go meals starting Monday, March 23. Breakfast and lunch will be served daily at 21 campuses on O'ahu.
In addition, the education department has canceled all student and staff trips until the end of the school year.
The University of Hawai‘i has suspended sports and is scheduled to hold online classes after spring break. The university system cancelled all graduation ceremonies.
As the COVID-19 situation keeps changing, several groups have postponed or cancelled events as a precaution.

Centers and Locations Closed (in alphabetical order)
• Aloha Stadium closed March 18 and is scheduled to reopen May 14, or until further notice.
• The Art Explorium is canceling all workshops and open studio times from Sunday, March 15 through the end of the month.
• Battleship Missouri Memorial is closed until further notice.
• Bishop Museum is closed through March 31 or until further notice.
• Consolidated Theatres closed on March 17 until further notice.
• Across the nation, Disney Stores will close on March 17 and Apple Stores will stay closed until March 27.
• Dole Plantation will close March 20 and is scheduled to reopen April 3.
• The East-West Center Gallery at University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa is closed until April 30.
• Hanauma Bay will be closed through the end of April. Mayor Kirk Caldwell says although it is outside, all swimmers have to watch an informational video in an enclosed area.
• The Hawaiʻi Children’s Discovery Center is scheduled to reopen March 30. The spring break camp will go on as scheduled.
• The Hawaiʻi State Art Museum will close March 16 until further notice. All public events, including Super Saturday, have been cancelled for March and April.
• Hawaiʻi State Public Libraries are closing starting Wednesday, March 17. Programs and events, public use of meeting rooms and bookmobile services were already canceled.
• Hawaiʻi Theatre shows and events for March and April will be rescheduled.
• Hawaiian Humane Society's adoptions, fostering and animal admissions are on an appointment-only system from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., daily. Animals in distress, just born, injured, sick or in imminent condition will not be turned away.
• Spring semester classes at the Honolulu Museum of Art's school are also canceled, as well as all public events including films at Doris Duke Theatre.
• All of Honolulu's Botanical Gardens are closed until April 30.
• Ice Palace will close starting Monday, March 16. All classes as well as public skating will be suspended until further notice.
• ʻIolani Palace closed March 18 until further notice.
• Kāhala Mall paused all programs including Toddler Time. The arrival of the Easter Bunny has also been delayed. The mall hopes to begin photos with the bunny in April.
• Kailua Farmers Market at Kailua Town Center on Thursdays is closed until further notice.
• The Saturday and Tuesday Kapʻiolani Community College Farmers Markets are canceled until further notice.
• Lēʻahi Neighborhood Farmers Market at Kapiʻiolani Community College on Tuesdays is closed until further notice.
• Lēʻahi Swim School three locations will reopen March 30.
• Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum and Pearl Harbor National Memorial will close March 18 until further notice.
• The Polynesian Cultural Center is scheduled to reopen April 30, or until further notice.
• Regal Theatres will close starting March 17 until further notice.
• Roy Sakuma ʻUkulele Studios has stopped classes from March 17 to March 31. The performance at Windward Mall on April 4 has been postponed until further notice.
• Royal Hawaiian Center will be closed from March 23 through April 30.
• Sea Life Park closed March 17 until further notice.
• Still & Moving Center is scheduled to reopen May 1.
• Waimea Valley will close March 20 until April 3.
• Wet 'n' Wild Hawai‘i is scheduled to reopen March 30.
Malls and Shopping Centers
• Ala Moana Center closed at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, March 23, until further notice. Restaurants and other facilities that serve food will continue operating through delivery and carry-out.
• Ka Makana Aliʻi's new hours are from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday to Saturday, and from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
• Pearlridge Center closed 11 a.m. on Monday, March 23, until further notice. Restaurants with carry-out and/or delivery services with exterior-facing entrances will remain open. Also staying open are healthcare, grocery stores and banks with exterior entrances.
• Royal Hawaiian Center's new hours are from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., daily. All cultural classes and workshops are cancelled.
• Ward Village has canceled all events for now including the cinema, yoga and fitness in the park. The Kaka‘ako Farmers Market on Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon remains open, as of March 21.
• Windward Mall closed at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, March 23. Vendors remaining open include Straub Medical Center, HawaiʻiUSA Federal Credit Union, Hickam Federal Credit Union, and restaurants offering delivery or take-out.
Event and Hours Changes
• All public events at Bishop Museum are canceled. The galleries will stay open for self tours.
• The City is canceling all events on city property through the end of April. This includes Easter Egg hunts, swim meets and other events at city parks. No shows will be held at the Blaisdell Center.
• Disney's Tarzan at Hawaiʻi Theatre, originally for the weekend of April 17, has been rescheduled to Sept. 23-27.
• All workshops at the Halawa Xeriscape Garden through the month of April.
• Lei of Caring fundraiser for the Hawaiʻi Caregiver Foundation on April 25 has moved to Nov. 14.
• Noodle Festival that was scheduled for March 20 has been postponed until the summer. No specific date has been announced. noodlefesthawaii.com
• Science & Sustainability Festival at Bishop Museum that was scheduled for March 22 is postponed until Aug. 16. However, kamaʻāina and military will still receive a discounted admission of $5 that day.
• Taste of Hongwanji Bazaar. This was scheduled for March 29 and will be rescheduled for a date in October. hawaiibetsuin.org
• Waikīkī Aquarium’s Ocean Talk, "Plastic and Ocean Issues in Hawai‘i" set for March 18 will be rescheduled.
• Starbucks locations are not accepting personal cups. People will still receive a 10-cent discount for bringing it in.

• March 21 — Hawai'i Junior Golf Day at various golf courses.
• March 21—Keiki Fest at Hawaiʻi Kai Towne Center.

• March 28—Prince Kūhiō Parade and Hoʻolauleʻa in Kapolei.
• March 28—Super Saturday at Hawaiʻi State Art Museum.
• March 28—Keiki Rainbow Run, a fundraiser for school physical education programs. Organizers will give T-shirts and numbers to all who registered so they can run or walk through their own neighborhood.
• April 4—Roy Sakuma ʻUkulele Studio performance at Windward Mall has been postponed.
• April 4 — Egg-strordinary Easter at Mililani Shopping Center.
• April 4—Open Cockpit Day at Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum.

• April 5—Spring Things Japanese Sale at Japanese Cultural Center of Hawaiʻi. The center is open during regular business hours. Volunteer activities and docent-led tours were canceled March 16. Please check the Facebook page for gift shop and heritage center schedule.
